Currently sat watching Thursday night super league drivel, being a very bored saddo, i have a trivia question?
Who has made the most appearances for Fax in the Shay era? ( post 98).

I go for Penky.
Other contributions are Gibbo,Haley,Blomey etc.

Can any other anorak enlighten me?

I remember Hilda washing the kit in 1987! The Courier did an article on her, showing her holding up dirty post-match kits. She must have gone through more powder than Keith Richards!

I think it'll be James Haley, he's had a long spell at the club and pretty much been a constant in the team.

Penky must be in with a shout, Dave Larder perhaps?

Penky made his 200th first team appearance for Halifax the other week at Sheffield.
He now has 202.
Damian Gibson made exactly 200 appearances in his two spells since 1998

Others by my reckoning to have made more than 100 apps as well as those listed above include Lee Paterson, Frank Watene and Ben Black. Dave Wrench finished in the 90's.

I think I remember Andy Hobson geting his 100 th apearance and thought he did a few after that.
