I also would say that the gap in the allocation of monies between the Super League and Championship clubs is a major hurdle.
In a financial sense it is very much like a corner shop trying to compete with one of the super market giants.
The play off between bottom of SL against the top of the Championship is very much in the SL clubs favour and even if the Championship club pulled off the win to go from Championship rugby to Super League in one season and not have the yo yo situation has proved very difficult to achieve, just look at Widnes and others before.
I predict more of the same sellfishness from the chosen few at the top with little if any thought given to the lower competitions.
On a brighter note there is without doubt life outside SL at the moment.
This years Championship will prove to be the best and most competative for some time, my real concern is, will this remain the case when club chairman and other board members realize they are in a sporting cul de sac with little of no prospects of ever getting out.
This remains to be seen and in the meantime I will just enjoy my rugby league.
