http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/18306934 So the club budgeted to run at a loss of over £1m a year? I assume the idiots at Red Hall inspected these budgets as part of the Bulls application for a franchise? I suppose there isnt anything to say that hasnt already been said previously.

KPMG stamped their approval so it must be part of the criteria. Our mistake was to be "speculative" when in fact we should have been up front and presented a budget which included monthly losses of £100k.

Richard Lewis is currently sat on his tennis lawn patting himself on the head on a job well done.

I would expect anyone taking over a business during such financial strife were bound to criticise the previous regime. Surely, nobody "budgets" to run at a loss.
The RFL must not be criticised however, is this why they got another company in to audit ?

Heres a solution.

Merge with fax, play at the Shay as Halifax Bulls, get a milliion from the RFL and play in Superleague, then the RFL can sell Odsal to a Developer at a huge profit.

Aye, Ken Morrison can build a nice new hypermarket there or Jack Tordoff can build his new HQ there!

And our council extend the Skircoat Stand and put a new roof on resulting in a complete 16000 capacity stadium. For the forseeable future its probably the only way a Halifax team will find their way into Super League. Bradford Northern start again in NL1 at the Horsfall stadium. and after a few seasons, we drop the Bulls from our name. Wouldn't rule anything out. Remember the Huddersfield/Sheffield - Hull/Gateshead mergers.

The criteria we are publicly told about are clearly not those required for super league. If Bradford were to address their problems adequately all areas of the club would suffer and they would no longer be "super league" standard. But do we see them being booted out?

It's time the RFL came clean and said licencing is their tool for creating a super league of teams the RFL think should be in super league. Save the time and money of all clubs and just send an e-mail to clubs telling them they have the golden ticket.

Anyone outside of super league, take care and look after yourselves cos we may need you when it all goes t!ts up! And don't anyone dare say "told you so!"

did the RFL know of Bradfords financial plight and still award them a licence in front of Fax who gave 'speculative financial predictions'?!

you bet they did!

the whole set up stinks and is corrupt. the sooner we get a new governing body the better and we can all start 'supporting' our sport again, instead of coming on here and moaning.

big changes need to happen and quick before they destroy what we know now as rugby league.

More BS from the Bulls but not a surprise! Also if people think that the Bulls are the only club struggling then think again. Hull KR, Salford, London, Cas etc are all struggling. The RFL and Big Nige will keep hiding behind closed doors and refuse to accept the game is in a mess until its too late. Nige has history of refusing to accept how bad things are until its too late as we all well know. SL is failing and clubs are now admitting they cant sign big names- see the Hull KR chairmans latest admission. To be honest best stay we are for now and not get heavily in debt in a comp we are not wanted in or realistically ready for at the moment. Sl offers many things but delivers on few.

This proves yet again to me that the RFL will NEVER demote a SL team they just do not have the b&lls to do it, they are scared of being sued. As ever with the RFL they just do whatever they want and clubs like lemmings do as they say and swallow every word.
I have said it before ring the bells across northern England when Fat Controller leaves and he will one day, sadly not soon enough.
