The experiment has run its course, If the bonus point had been any good then it would have been adopted by the other leagues and taken internationally, however I think the same as Karl, that the RFL has just forgotten about it. Scrap it now.

Trouble is that, now you have it, taking it away benefits the weaker teams.

ie. those who lose by more than 12 points.

Hate the system and I do think it's unfair but as long as it's in place we need to play to it and accept it.

I have problem accepting it as it is part of the current season and fair play to Batley if they finish above us winning fewer games. I am saying that it is one of the RFL's failed experiments and it should be scrapped.

Thats not the case. If you did the league ladder without BP and with 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw every team would be in the same places except Batley who would be below Sheffield.

Exactly. Because they've lost by 12 or less. The teams who would be favoured are teams like us, who caved in at places like Leigh, and Fev, who can't seem to lose by less than 20.

Agree, no sour grapes as i would say the same if it was the other way around but Batley could finish above us by winning & drawing less games, ie by losing more games.

Am against the bonus point - nowt for losers is how it should be. Can't believe that any players or teams don't give it there all any less if there wasn't a bonus point. The points difference and pride should be all the motivation they need to keep the game as close as possible.

The fat controller would allegedly like to apologise unreservedly to KH for forgetting to introduce this matter on the agenda last September however there were mitigating circumstances in that he placed the paper just under the Super League finacial prediction reports for 12/13. He was going to look at both issues however his attention was distracted by the delivery of his favorite desert; an enormous portion of sticky toffee pudding with lashings of super thick custard. I really must get my strategic time management in some form of priority he thought; surely a man of my stature deserves at least 3 hours of uninterupted lunch.

Anyway he mused we had better keep this bonus point trial going because its another key reason I can use to say Championship clubs just cannot be in MY Super League because none of them would have got as many points under the recognised formal system........ Now whats all this utter stupidity in this KPMG report about being very cautious with over optomistic financial predictions. I want exciting predictions of new hotbeds of rugby in vibrant towns like Northampton ; not a one page factual summary of well ...just accurate facts!! ..... Now this custard is the key decision today........an "A" grade definitely with potential for self expansion.
