I wonder if they will re-vamp the NRC into a straight knockout comp. go back to playing twice over Easter , play on challenge cup final weekend and extend the season by a couple of weeks. With more league games surely squads have to be bigger or will clubs like Fax just utilise their under 21s.
I remember reading that the Northern Rail will have Champ 1 teams playing each other, with the top 2 qualifying and joining Championship teams in a straight knockout comp for last 16. This will allow our league to start earlier.

Best to finish this season, could still be a lot of rugby to be played.
I agree that there is more rugby to be played, but once the season is done most people stop contributing to this forum, so thought I'd get a discussion going before they all bug out. You don't have to contribute if you don't want.

I am okay with that apart from playing on Challenge Cup Final weekend, that would be a bad move as quite a lot of fans still go to Wembley, like me!

13 home league games at last, 3 weeks for NRC plus final - which must not be the curtain raiser at Wembley as its OUR great weekend for fans at Blackpool not a sideshow. Assume no clubs will make it to the last 16 of the CC, those that do play over the Wembley weekend eg Sunday/Monday. We may even get home followed by away if we are really lucky.

Don't be silly, Sheffield wiser to that again, the hobo of championship RL.
