It is with enormous pleasure that the Club is pleased to announce that Roger Harvey O.B.E. has kindly agreed to be the President of Halifax RLFC. As all supporters know Roger's involvement with the Club is long standing, starting in the mid 1990s. He has been a Director in the past, and a Vice President too. He has been a sponsor over many years, and has been a loyal Fax supporter over many years. Whenever the Club has needed help in the past, Roger has always been there in the wings willing to help. There is a story that at one game in London when Halifax had been soundly defeated, Roger was accosted by a Fax fan who was not very happy and said "it's cost me Ten quid to watch that load of Rubbish!" Rogers response according to the story was "You should worry. . It's cost me a Hundred grand!!!!" That's Roger in a nutshell. He's always been happy to help, he's Mr Halifax, both to the town itself and certainly the Club too. He was recognised by the Town when he was made a Freeman , now the Club too has recognised the great service and support he's given us.

Great gesture and top bloke Roger, Halifax through and through we could do with cloning him as if we had more like him Halifax would be an even better place.
