Just read this in the Sun, so it must be true!

Sandercock’s assistant Chris Chester sat with Halifax forward Sam Barlow during the game with Sheffield Eagles last week — but he is also injured.

Hull KR have taken Dale Ferguson on loan from Huddersfield but will monitor Barlow, 23, on his return.

If you ask me a fully fit Barlow would go well in super league but seems to struggle with fitness a lot.

Chris Chester comes to quite a few Halifax games as he is member of our Players Association. He is good friends with Scott Murrell from his time at Hull KR and he knows Sam from work outside of rugby league.

Karl Harrison's Brother is still employed by Batley, so going on Dave Parkers way of working things out, Karl will be back at Batley sooner rather than later

How that man gets paid to write copy for any publication is beyond me

Rubbish story, Sams fitness has been poor for years, he could not manage at Super League in my opinion, if he can put together a full'ish season with Fax and maintain a level fitness befitting of a sportsmen i will reassess my opinion.

We have other forwards that are more likely to be playing Super League.

I think there is a shortage of quality front rowers in our game at the moment, especially British talent.

Most if not all Super League clubs will be looking to add to their squads in this department and they will have one eye on the championship to snag the odd player or two at a bargain price.

Chris Hill and Alex Walmsley quickly come to mind.

For someone like Sam there will no doubt be some interest and a lot of rumour.

If he is to make the grade then he will as has been said need to get the fitness right and put in some strong displays across a season and not just in the odd game.

I have no doubt he could do it but is he up for it mentally, if your mind is not right then the rest won't happen.

Your only young once and the door of oppourtunity is only open for so long.

Come on Sam get yourself right mate and get on with it wherever you are.
Get the blue and white on as soon as you can, you know the Fax will be behind you.

or was it fax twinning with hull kr so our players not picked can play for them.

As far as im aware Sam is fully commited to getting fit and wants to stay with Fax regardles of rumours. Fax lad through and through!

Maybe we are twinning up with KR and dual reg'ing some of our team to them to boost their squad!

If Chester was sat next to Barlow the most likely scenario is that he was bored to death and had his burger stolen.
