Interesting comments from Phil Clarke recently. It seems there is a greater number of people can see how wrong the new twinning arrangements are.

It would seem its arisen from the SL clubs needing to save money and some championship clubs wanting to avoid relegation by getting in players they could never afford on their crowds on the cheap.

All sorts of questions -

Aren't junior development pathways part of SL criteria?
Do the RFL really run the sport anymore?
Do people really think championship players will get better by playing with ever changing, uninterested SL players every week?
How is the system allowing more players to play?
What is the point in championship clubs being independent if they are to be feeder clubs - shouldn't SL clubs take over the running and expense of these clubs?

And, perhaps, most importantly, where does it leave clubs like Halifax? All credit to the board for the statement they made on twinning, but, Fax are not ready for SL but are obviously, now, too good for the championships as they can survive without feeding from the breast of a SL club? I suspect it will leave us nowhere. Not in SL and constantly fighting the pressure to be a feeder club.

Hats off to the Lilly livered RFL, as the tail continues to wag the dog they take their eye off the whole purpose of their being - developing and protecting the sport at ALL levels. The talk is of increasing attendances, do they really think that will now happen in the championships? That clubs will be able to continue to raise the revenue to run themselves as SL feeder clubs? Or, maybe, the plan is for fans of championship RL to gravitate towards SL - there's one here that won't be!

Be great for all the independent championship clubs to join forces and make a statement and fans to boycott twinned teams!

Well apparently in a radio interview JJB from Leeds suggests that after a few years the Championship fan will get used to it

Hmm, yes. Just like when we embraced franchising with open arms. Oh and how we rejoiced when it was mooted that we should merge with Bradford. Coffin on the pitch doesn't quite send the message of a white flagged waved. The few championship fans that are left have more resolve than your lily livered cheap season ticket non-challenge cup attending fag bags from Super League. I'm not even sure what a fag bag is.

I would imagine you would find many fag bags on the crumbling weed covered cracked concrete of odsal rich.

Although not as many now they have to pay full price!

Mr Bug - don't the "Here's how it's gonna be, lump it cos we're so important, Hethetington apologists" get right on your tits?

Notice how they don't call those warning of the fate of the Crusaders flat clappers anymore? How they don't comment on the integrity of twinning? Amazing how everything we said is coming to pass?

I said it before. They put Toulouse in SL in 2015 and I'm done with this mess of a sport. And not cos Fax won't get a licence

The silence is deafening at times freddie , but as you say , will there be anybody here left to say " we told you so " ?

If they are not careful , we will hit a point of no return , were it isn't recoverable , Leigh are heading that way at the moment , it breaks my heart to witnes it , even from the distance of a computer screen

Word is the Bulls are going to be renamed the "Bradford Stallions" as horse DNA has been found in their dressing rooms.

Good to see the clubs making a joint stand and statement against the pillocks at the RFL and the greedy SL clubs. Its embarrassing how clueless Wood , Rimmer and co are at the RFL.

There my friend lies a big part of the problem, the current management at the RFL have created a world where the game and many of its clubs are run by liars and deceitful back stabbers who look after their own end and will shaft anybody else to get what they want. They have been divided and conquered creating a horrible world where we hurt each other and openly hate each other its SL v the rest and sadly the rest is a dwindling number.
I long for the day when RL is an honest sport once again, naive maybe but it was never as bad as this 20 or 30 years ago, unprofessional yes but honest.
