The "home" fixture against Rochdale will be played at Heath RU ground West Vale, to allow the Shay pitch to recover from recent bad weather. The Rochdale game will KO at 7.45pm.next Wednesday The bar will be open at Heath so hopefully a few Fax fans will come along and cheer the lads on.

Basing this from RFF et al who were there - Fev 58 fax 18 FT

Mass brawl 2 fev players sent off and 1 fax player who was a sub and ran into the field of play to trade punches but clocked one and then was dismissed, Barlow NOT involved really in the brawl

Barlow did about 60/70 mins

Fax failed to register a point in the 30 mins of 13 vs 11

Fax scored ALL of their 18 points after the scrap. I'd say our team of mainly 17 & 18 year olds stood up very well against a much more experienced side featuring Tim Spears. Bowman & Barlow both played most of the game for Fax & nice to see the rivalry continue through the reserves with a bit of spite. The speccys even getting warmed up a bit a couple of times. Fev v Fax, love it.

Good run out and the score reflected the experience between the two side.
I had a good laugh. Comic touch was after the ref who sent 2 fev lads off then went looking for the Fax sub who joined had joined in the brawl... one wit souted "send Sam off for hiding"!!! Even Sam found it funny!

A bit of biff livened matters up a notch and brought some needle into the game and gave it some spice.

Oh aye, and the ref..... well I'll leave that one to colin!!

Incidently Colin, I've a spair pair o' white shorts here. I'll bring em thru next week. You can give to Sam seeing as he and I have the same size @r se nowadays!!!!
