OK, For me, possibly Skirlaugh can cause an upset this weekend, anyone else see a shock ?
Obviously good luck to Halifax & Siddal in their ties & I've just been reading that Tubbs is debuting his son Cory at 18 years old in the Sheffield game, he's a kid who i've watched for many years in the juniors. It seems an ideal time to blood a few kids with what Rhino has had to say this week too.

agree thats only one that may be shock, but depends what toulouse side turns out as maybe another shock.

It might be interesting too what sort of sides the junior partnership clubs are permitted to turn out in this round. I hear there's another Warrington lad with Halifax ties going to be playing two games for Swinton very soon but not this weekend obviously.

The bookies hate this round of the cup because they usually get the margins way out which is why a lot of them leave it as late as possible to get the handicaps up.

Doubt they will be any shocks really.

Would be nice to get through tomorrow and get a big team with a few fans down the Shay and get knocked out so we can concentrate on the important things.

What? You want Halifax to lose a game? Long runs in the CC expose our club to sponsors. If we're lucky enough to get one on telly then more to the good. I never want Halifax to lose a match, EVER.

Cup runs are great but in the big scheme of things they can do more harm than good. You only have to look at Fev last year with their cup run which probably contributed to them taking their eye off the ball. Thats without mentioning the fact that a lot of ties will actually cost the club money unless they can get one of the `big boys` and even then you only have to look at Leeds cup game attendances to see the smaller clubs get shafted in that area too.

I agree I never want us to lose but 2 or 3 games against either decent teams from our division or a lower SL clubs is going to take a lot out of us. Lets get a lucky draw, have our day in the sun and put on a decent show against a big team and then all out to win the NRC and the GF.
