as a leigh fan i feel weve had a love hate relationship with widnes for years but i really hope oconner leaves them in a strong position andthings dont fall apart for them now

I have talked to Brian O Connor his brother, and he is staying at the club.He is on the board and they just want more investors, and he can't run his businesses and the club Fulltime.So it does seem bad, but it is actually a positive.Say he has 10 million in the bank, it will soon run out if did not work.Seems funny every time something happens at Widnes, Fax fans clutch at straws hoping to take our licence.There is worse off clubs in Superleague than Widnes.

Rugby League staggers from sugar daddy to sugar daddy instead of tackling the real problem which is hardly any clubs can afford what they're paying in wages.

This aint about the Licence thats history now we all know having Steve O'Connor AND a decent ground got you into SL ahead of us and others for that matter, it was never on the field and results was it???
The thing is that the RFL seem to prefer the sugar daddy model to a sustainable club model and this is what happens, as soon as sugar daddy moves on you are in trouble.
Plain stupid as people come and go only fans are there for life as we all know!
Now I also accept that if a guy with big money came to Fax we would take it and enjoy the ride, we did in the mid eighties!
Its boom or bust though not a good model to work to for the games future. SL and the Sky money was supposed to prevent that but it hasn't and questions have to be asked why, more money than ever comes in RL yet its in a worst state than it was before SL, then at least gates were full paying speccies not thousands of freebies!

All I can say bitter and upset it seems to me.We could say the same about all clubs and seen as our pitch form was not good our fan base was better than Fax.

How many are you saying are involved in this desperate attempt to take a license from Widnes.

One from a Sheffield supporter who simply stated the truth.

Now me who thinks that Widnes were stiched up when they were excluded to allow the Crusaders in.

What is your problem with "ALL" these Fax fans, where are they because I can't see them.
