I watched the game on tv live, missed the incident until the replays 'cos initially the camera's followed the ball. But when it replayed i thought to myself, go on Joe lad give it to him. Then i thought, fight back Ablett you big soft ar$e he hasn't hurt you yet, and so it went on until Delaney wrestled Wardle to the floor.
Now, the contentious issues: Forget what Jiffy Davies said in the commentary "he's got to get a red card for a punch" shut up Davies you big girls blouse, he only did what McGuire did to Cudjoe 15 mins or so earlier. So, what's the difference ???? I think Bentham didn't see the Wardle/Ablett mis-match, he either went on a T/J or ear piece call, that's fair enough in my book, but by comparison to the McGuire ( who also chose to swear in the ref's face when he's aware that he's mic'd up to the tv viewers ) incident on the try line what was the difference in the punishment metered out ?
Interestingly, here's the two coaches views. I actually support Paul Anderson & his opinion & just for the record I don't believe it warranted a sending off. It's a good job it wasn't Joe's dad who belted Ablett either, good old Cribby

Colin must have missed the earlier fracas that you refer to but did see the sending off. I have to say that if the law of the game says a punch to the head is an automatic sending off then it was right, if it doesn't I feel he should still have gone. Rugby League, I believe is the hardest game in the world without incidents like that and I believe those incidents should be punished. Only my opinion, I could be wrong, I often am. I don't think I should have been sent of for pushing the ref to the floor for disallowing my try, but hey ho, I might be wrong.

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
Nothing much in either incident. Was funny to see the bully Ablett not even offer anything. I do think that if Wardle`s was classed as a sending off then Mcguire should have gone as well, If anything his was worse because Cudjoe wasnt expecting it where as Ablett was.
Amusing thing about the McGuire incident was he landed 2 shots which has no effect. Then copped a right smack off cudjoe.
I tweeted during the game that if Bentham didnt deal with the niggly incidents then it'd descend into something worse. If he'd have spoken to the captains and told both teams to cool it it could have prevented the incident. Do have to wonder what ablett said to Wardle to make him launch such an attack
