Just seen a headline saying that the Super League players Union have rejected the RFL proposals for a three tier system that they were hopeing to introduce. It is only a consultation poll it seems.

would you expect the SL players to vote for potential relegation - I wouldn't if i was one of them.

The way that I read it , was they don't like the idea of splitting things up midway through a season . Impression I got was they would prefer a super league of 12 and straight p & r .

I'm surprised the RFL are pushing the 24 into 3 eighths business. I don't know why I say this but it just isn't something I thought they'd go for.

Whatever they decide - rules and regs have to be the same for everyone for it to have any credibility and that means NO EXEMPTIONS from relegation. I accept that money will be weighted to the top clubs but at least it gives a potential backer of a current Championship club the freedom to sink money in to get to the top table.

I wonder if those SL players who've benefitted from the dual-reg love-in voted on the matter....

Batley had a DR player from Cas last night.

As well as two from Shuddersfield.

Not sure how that happened but it's just part of the shambles that DR is.
