Possibly true Greg, but as you know I like to stick up for the officials, without them no game.
I was at an under 9s Rugby League game last Sunday ( as usual) it was refereed by a lad of maybe 12, who plays but also likes to officiate. One of the parents called him a cheat, under 9's? Maybe the lad needs to develop a a thick skull or maybe it will turn him away from the game.
Either way, perhaps we need to understand that ( in my humble opinion) they do an honest job.
Can't remember the last time a ref dropped a ball with an open try line, or dropped three high balls in a row which became tries.
Those incidents were soon forgiven but, I bet the ref had an awful game in some people's eyes.
Respect!
