Because the award looks at everything not just the pitch activities.

Some highlights:

Huge social presence.
New York competition - anyone else do something similar? I think not.
Work by the directors and the huge strides they have made.

Not for me. It's like little Johnny in the U'10s. He isn't very good but he turns up for training every week so he gets Sportsman of the year award. If we were playing at Leigh on Sunday or had topped the table/won the NR cup we wouldn't be Club of the year. Take your pick.
