Don't think it is 1988 onwards.....

Lewis Jones played in the 50's, Harold Wagstaff was early 20th century...The year 1988 is the year they were inducted into the RFL Hall of Fame.

For me if it was Fax players it would have to be Arthur Daniels, Stan Kielty, Ken Dean or perhaps Colin Dixon or Terry Fogerty.... Maybe Rhino too.

I don't really know the criteria & all of the above were prior to my interest in RL ( apart from Foggy & Dicko but i was only a kid then ) but Ronnie James must surely be added to that list of Fax legends in my opinion.
From the modern era, Chris Anderson played a massive role in turning around the on-field fortunes of our club in his short stint playing/coaching us.-, shame he's an Aussie in this instance. I don't think any of the other modern day Fax players really deserve such accreditation all fairness although Rhino would be the obvious or closest player.

All Fax legends but don't think (apart from KH) should get in RFL Hall of Fame. Think even KH would struggle....

Colin Dixon although he played for Fax before my time but did well and went onto even greater things after a record transfer to Salford, nice bloke who was a friend of my Dads.

Colin was a great coach to play for, i had the utmost respect for him & Jack Scrobes when they were in charge & i was playing in the Colts/ A team. Colin once gave me one of his Halifax training shirts and many years later i lent it someone for a fancy dress party & never got it back. That taught me a little lesson.
Great blokes both, legends within this town both on & off the field. Jack is still a neighbour of mine.
