Headline "WIGAN and LEIGH" etc. First line, Leigh Centurians have cut ties, Shouldn't it have been LEIGH and WIGAN after all Leigh were the ones to make a stance?

+1 to that. hope teams like Batley and Dewsbury split from their super league teams and become fully individual again.

I see where you are coming from, John. The article hardly mentions Wigan, yet the headline/photo is all about them.

Very few RL fans are really comfortable with DR - although those at Leigh would have probably accepted it more readily, had it been with any other club in the World than Wigan! The finances at Leigh, these past few seasons, have forced the club along the DR route - without which, we would have struggled to put a team on the pitch. Also, it's somewhat ironic that three of those DR players - Tom Armstrong, Tom Spencer, and it would appear, Jake Emmitt, have now opted to come back to us on Leigh contracts.

In a recent article in the Trade Press, Tony Smith was moaning that most Championship clubs refused to use the D/R system, in the way it was 'intended' - i.e. presumably they didn't (ab)use it like Warrington and Swinton did!

Warrington voted against it in the first place, we seemed to abuse it to show what a farce it actually was.

And conveniently got some of their more 'senior' players match fit after injury. Did Warrington also vote against the abolition of SL Under 20's? (or 23's)
