Barring Halifax and maybe Barrow(Fev visitors), the attendances in both leagues have been absolutely shocking.

Very worrying. The forgotten leagues it appears these days.

I think we have our friends at Redhall to thank for ruining the game and concentrating on franchsie at all costs and neglecting their role as custodians for ALL the game for the dire state of crowds in our league and below. I was embarrassed to stand in the lowest crowd I have been in since I started watching over 40 years ago when I went to Whitehaven with just 751 spectators-and not many Fax fans either! Thanks Mr Woods et al...............

Are not we ( Championship Clubs and fans ) just as culpable, constantly focussing on SL?

Was it another capacity crowd at the Shay, don't really seem to break past 2,280ish.

Don't see what motivation there is for the casual supporter to come watch, at whatever level, if there is no chance of progressing and nothing to play for. Once you lose those casual supporters it's very hard to ge them back as all clubs are now finding. Die hards like us will always turn up but that won't increase gates I'm afraid.

They already are, Our group varies from game to game. Barmy Army is down to an Arm and there's nobody coming thru supporting.

The new format won't help cos it'll just push struggling clubs down so we can all watch endless repeats of Leeds v Wigan v Warrington v Saints in Sky HD (Highly Disappointing)

I wouldn't at allbe surprised to se Town's crowds pick up with the possibility of a visit to Wembley in the play-off's looking likely, people only have a certain amount of disposable income and they'll follow a winning team.

Leigh had 2200 v swinton Good Friday
