I mentioned on another topic about this but i just wonder if it is something the club should look at. Ive just paid £3.50 to watch the Leigh game on the Leigh website and I wonder why Fax cant do something along the same lines.

The set up costs and upkeep of the website will not cost too much and again I would think that TA would have contacts that could come in very useful. Even if there were not someone at the club who could do it then Im sure someone out there would upload the videos and content for some free advertising or something like that. I mean if the club send the content then there really isnt all that much work goes in to putting it on the website.

Would it be unrealistic to get 100 people or more to pay say a £30 subscription fee to get videos of games along with some exclusive news and offers and things? It really could be a massive marketing tool that the club could use to spread the word.

Gregg, 1 st thing to consider is what quality of content do you supply the RFL with, is it HD? ,the camera's of this spec are not expensive these days, do the club arrange their own footage, or do you subcontract it out?

If you do do it yourself then I'd suggest whoever looks after it to contact Fred Parkinson via e mail or PM, he's always happy to advise

Just out of interest a few years back I wanted all the Championship clubs to approach the RFL, with a view to providing all clubs with a HD camera and some tuition on their usage, essentially to enable all clubs to then provide the RFL with quality disciplinary footage, this would however also opened up the potential for individual clubs and the clubs as a single entity to put together a highlights/review/preview show online, with a view to selling sponsorship and searching out pay per view or FTA coverage in the future

Halifax RLFC TV I can see it now , Come Dine with Halifaxjohn ,Fax has got Talent with Swifty Cowell ,Eggheads with Littlerich , and Bootsnall with Bentleyman . .

Agree its a good idea to show hightlights on website Cant you buy DVDS still of the matches played from club shop Better than giving money to Leigh

From reading some of the posts about the Leigh / Fax match it sounds like there was a fair bit of "entertainment" on the terraces could we include some of that as well?

Would be better to do it like Leigh and have the full games on there. I wonder how many DVD`s the club sell of the games? I for one would log on to the website and watch the videos of most games a day or so after where as I will never go out of my way to buy a DVD of a game unless its something special.

So make it between £30-40 for the season and the club straight away has got more money off most fans than they would actually selling DVD`s. Not to mention fans of other teams like I did today coming on the website and paying a one off fee to watch the game.

Make it so people quite simply have to sign up. Say we have a hardcore of about 1200 fans, I cant see any reason why the club shouldnt be able to sell 300-400 subscriptions for a service like this. £30 for access to all the latest news, videos, and offers would be a snip and could bring the club close to an extra 10k. Not much in the grand scheme but its probably an extra player at the very least.

Forgot to mention the sponsorship opportunities and the money that could bring in.
