Nel's Notes v Dewsbury/Away Travel : Mon Aug 04, 2014 8:42 am
Before the game Karl said he thought it was a difficult game to call and so it was but as the first half went on we became stronger and built up a 12 point lead at half time which soon increased to 18 shortly after half time. As usual however we like to keep the supporters on the edge of their seats and before we knew it we were just 6 points to the good. We have however learnt from the Leigh game earlier in the season and steadied things with a further 2 tries which was helped along with some flawless goal kicking from Steve Tyrer who also picked up the Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass and also 3rd place in the Shay Lounge Player of Season voting. 1st place went to Ben Johnston with 2nd to Luke Ambler.Tommy Saxton still leads on 17 points but Ben is just 4 points behind with Luke 3rd on 11. With just 2 games to go it is between these 3 who takes the award.
In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to number 135 Duncan Illingworth and the £20 voucher to number 116 Kevin Waldron.
Half time draw winning number was 5437( I had 5137 ) for £197.
I am sure we now have our eyes on the next home game in 2 weeks against Featherstone but before that we a tricky game away at North Wales Crusaders. This time however we do not have John Fieldhouse plotting our down fall and hopefully can give Ryan a few tips.
The supporters coach leaves the Shay at 11.30 for a 2.30 kick off. Adults £14 and juniors £8.

A further donation of £750 was made to Faxbuilder from coach travel and Club 1873 which makes a total of £2500 so far this season. Thank you for all your support.
