Sad news breaking on twitter that Neil James has passed away aged 53.

Very prominent in our fantastic title winning season 85/6.Think i saw him make his GB debut that year at Headingley v France.RIP.

Lot of memories from that era and Neil. Widnes at Thrumhall amongst them where he scored a couple of stormers crashing in at the shed end.

Gutted to hear this. Lost contact with him a few years ago but at one time he lived not far away from us.

Top bloke - he'll be missed. Thoughts to his family. It's a terrible time for someone to go, just before Christmas.

Super player. Top memory of him: taking Leeds apart at Headingley. Only time i have stood in south stand when they have been stunned into silence and then actually Loiner supporters around me applauding an opposition player. Respect.

Standing room only at his funeral today.

All his clubs were represented. Well, the British ones, anyway. Not sure about Gold Coast.
