A message from Chairman, Michael Steele. : Thu Dec 18, 2014 3:39 pm
Good Morning to each and every Halifax supporter.
I hope everyone is ready for the festive celebrations, next week.
On behalf of all the Club Team (playing and non-playing) I want to say a huge, “Thank you,” for your support since the end of last season. There is a fantastic feel good factor at the Club, now.
-Season Ticket Sales are up;
-The new shirts have been well received and are selling well;
-The Community Team are building interest in youngsters through our ‘Give us a Try’ initiative.
-Commercially we have a number of new partners and expect to announce a FTSE 100 Sponsor in the new year;
-Richard and the players are now well into the pre season training, the Overseas contingent are here and the team is working hard for the challenges ahead;
-Behind the scenes we have been taking the time to look at our structures particularly on how the club interacts and communicates with its supporters;
-The strategic group has been formed to assist the Directors to look at everything we do and ensure we are working in the right direction, particularly to increase the spectator numbers and improve the match day experience;
Success can’t be guaranteed, but we believe every possible step is being taken, including the announcement due in the next 24 hours which shows how we can bridge the funding gap with our competition. I am certainly more optimistic on a personal level than I have been for years. With everyone pulling in the same direction and particularly with your continued support I feel we can look forward to an exciting season.
I look forward to seeing increasing numbers, new and old, through the gates in the New Year. A Merry and Peaceful Christmas to all Halifax supporters, Halifax players and their families.
