Neil's Notes v Leigh/Away Travel : Tue Feb 24, 2015 4:53 pm
Whilst disappointed with the result, as a supporter you cannot fault the effort put in and this showed with the reception the players were given at the end of the game. Lets see this support at Batley this Sunday. They have made a good start with 2 wins so we will need to be on our game as it is always a difficult ground to get a result.
The supporters coach leaves the Shay at 1.15 for a 3.00pm Ko. Adults £8 with juniors £4.To book phone 07714488080. Now back onto Sundays game. With so much tackling and so many big hits if was a difficult decision for the Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass. In the end it went to Steve Tyrer with the backs having to make more tackles than usual. The first votes in the Shay Lounge Player of the Season saw Luke Ambler pick up first with 3 points, 2nd was Miles Greenwood with 2 and 3rd Andy Bracek with 1. It was good to see more supporters in the Shay Lounge after the game and it is hoped if numbers increase we can get back to inviting players in after the game to say a few words. Membership of Club 1873 as now reached 115. Still time to join before the first draw of 10 after the Workington match on 12th April. There are 2 prizes each draw of £25 and £20 vouchers for the Club Shop plus a 2016 season ticket at the last Super 8 game. The winner of this last season was Robert Gosling number 45. Well done Robert. You can see me in the Shay Lounge or on the East Stand concourse or E mail me at neil.arber@talktalk.net. A full list of winners each game is on display in the Shay Lounge and the winners are automatically informed. I am also taking bookings for our trip to London on Saturday 28th March. We leave the Shay at 8.30am for a 3.00pm Ko. Adults £24 with juniors £10. Finally the winning number in the half time draw on Sunday was 7903 picking up £210. Neil |
