Neil's Notes v Featherstone/Away Travel v London : Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:13 pm
Another loss at home to another of our closest rivals. Once again we were behind and always playing catch up. That said I thought in the second half we had our chances but made too many mistakes in attacking positions. If only Jacob Fairbank could have kept his footing it could have put us right back in it. Featherstone played basic rugby and took their chances when presented. Once again we put in some big tackles and shows the spirit the team has. Just need to consolidate in our attacking play.Once again it was a difficult decision on picking the Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass with a number of contenders but the final vote went to Adam Robinson.
In the voting for the Shay Lounge Player of the Season Jacob Fairbank was first picking up 3 points, 2nd with 2 points was James Saltonstall and 3rd with 1 point was Luke Ambler.
Membership of Club 1873 has now reach 124 which compares very well with last years total final total of 148. Still time to renew/join. Next time will be in the Shay Lounge at our game next Sunday against Dewsbury and also on the East Stand concourse before the game.
The half time draw winning number was 8249 picking up £223.
Bookings for travel to London for our league game on Saturday 28th March are also going well with just a few seats left. We leave the Shay at 8.30am £24 adults with £10 for juniors. To book phone me on 07714488080.
Our first donation of the season from Club 1873 and Away Travel was made this Sunday. A sum of £800 was handed over.
Thank you for your continued support.
