It was good to see yesterday playing for the full 80 minutes other than a 15 minute spell before half time when Whitehaven came back into the game. We scored some really good tries with players backing up. The half back pairing of Scott Murrell and Danny Craven now looking to take shape which has helped our back line.
Scott took the Shay Lounge Man of the match in conjunction with BeanBagSports and received his award in the Shay Lounge. With the 3 points for 1st Scott is now 2nd in the season long Shay Lounge Player of the Season with Luke Ambler on 7 points with James Saltonstall still in the lead on 11.2nd place yesterday and 2 points was Dane Manning and 3rd with 1 point was Adam Robinson who also took the Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass.
Before the game yesterday we had Chris Taylor in the Shay Lounge to say a few words. This will now be the format for future games for those in the South Stand terrace with various squad members. After the game all supporters are welcolme in the Shay Lounge to make your vote and see the presentation and interview with the Supporters MoM.
The draw for Club 1873 saw the £25 voucher going to number 7, Julie Pugh with the £20 voucher to number 58, Gillian Clayton.
Half time draw winning number was 09743 for £166.
Our next away game is in Blackpool for the Summer Bash this Saturday. Adults fare £12 and juniors £6. The first supporters coach leaves at 9.30 and the later coach at 4.00. The first game kicks off at 12.00 with our game against Bradford at 7.00pm. After that we are away at Workington on Sunday 31st May. We leave at 10.00am. £15 adults and juniors £10.
