Don't worry, you won't have to put up with us next season as we'll be in Super League.
Unfortunately that sort of statement is part of the problem, there is a slow but sure trend from many other clubs supporters against Leigh because of an apparent new arrogance.
Of all the clubs that have stood out over the past few years even going back to promotion days with the like of HKR, Cas, Salford, Widnes and in more recent times Fev none of them came across like Leigh are doing.
Not long ago people can remember when Leigh were really struggling and these same supporters were wishing you the best and hoping you would come through it, you are bringing the change of heart on yourselves and need to handle this new found success with a bit more respect for the game and the rest of the league.
It may be it is the new additions to the terraces who only turn up when the team is winning who stayed away and did nothing to help when the club was on it's booty who are like this.
Likewise with the rough stuff there is the same trend from the players of other clubs, starting from when Paul Rowley took charge Leigh used it as a tactic in the games to get the result at any cost.
Now all the other clubs know it and are thinking about the meet fire with fire response, that's why almost every week it is part of the game involving Leigh.
The reason why in the early games it was usually the players from the teams Leigh were playing that got the biggest punishment was Leigh started it and the retaliator always gets the harshest punishment.
Now either side can start it often the opposition because of left overs from the previous encounters and because they think if that's the way it's going to be then we're getting in first.
Sadly I predict more of the same as this type of reputation is hard to shake off.
