Neil's Notes : Wed Sep 09, 2015 12:03 pm
A bit belated.Having just seen a rerun of the Salford match on Sky, despite the score we have come out with a lot of credit again and whilst very disappointed to let in those 3 long distance tries, for the biggest part of the game it shows we can compete. Still a lot to look forward to in our final 3 games especially next Sunday against Leigh who have not had it all their own way in the qualifiers.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass went to Any Bracek who is putting in some good performances lately.
The Shay Lounge Man of the Match and 3 points went to Adam Tangata for another all round performance and what a smile on his face when he went over for the final try. He was still smiling when he was interviewed in the Shay Lounge after the game. 2nd was Dane Manning with 2 points and 3rd and 1 point our other overseas signing Mitch Cahalane.
With just 1 game to go Ben Johnston who finished 2nd last season still leads on 14 points with James Saltonstall 2nd on 13 and Dane now in striking distance 3rd with 12 points. Any one of those can still take the award which will be presented along with the main supporters Player of the Season awards which will be presented in the Banqueting Suite after the next Fax Forum on Thursday 24th September. You can now vote for your player on line or complete the voting slips which will be available at the Leigh game.
In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to number 17 Nathaniel Greenwood who will be celebrating his 30th birthday this Friday. The £20 voucher went to number 22 David Whiteley. The main prize for the season a 2016 season ticket will be drawn out in the Shay Lounge after the Leigh game.
Half time draw winning number for £234 was 3243.
