TRUST AT THE MATCH ON SUNDAY . : Thu Feb 04, 2016 12:04 pm
At last our much anticipated first home game takes place this weekend and it sounds like our matchday experiance will be even more exciting by the added addition of the big screen .
I would just like to thank all of the Fax fans for the enormous amount of support the Fax Trust received last season and hope it will continue this year . As you may all be aware the Club are to run a Reserve Squad this season at quite considerable expense and the Supporters Trust have pledged to try to raise £25,000 towards this total but it cannot be done without the help of the fantastic Fax fans .
This Sunday we will be present in both stands collecting our usual Pledge money so if you can spare a little please pop it in the bucket .
We will also be signing up anyone who wants to join the Trust ,it`s £12 for the year .
Another Fax fans favourite is the Square Meal Deal at £10 for the season you have a chance of winning a meal in hospitality .
" Date for your Diary " is something new ,you pick a day out of the 366 days on offer in this years diary ( it`s a leap year ) pay your pound and when all the dates have been taken we will draw out a winner . So your WINNING DATE will be with an ex player as his guest in hospitality for a match . That is a special prize and for only a pound well worth a punt .
Plus a big shout out to all the Fax fans who took the " Change " collection boxes home with you a few weeks ago , well at last you can empty the now bulging boxes and pop them into the pledge buckets on your way into the game .
We are sorting through new ideas many fans have come up with to help us reach the target and regular news will be popped on here but if anyone wants to add more please feel free to do so .
Thank you all you are FAXTASTIC .

All very good and exciting news, well done all.

As a passing (and sorry negative) thought, I have a number of regular fax friends who have sadly declined in join me on Sunday due to personal finance constraints. Although the club are making fantastic strides, the whole match day experience is proving too expensive for some to attend let alone signing-up to additional initiatives.

In my simplistic view, can't we do more to bring in further corporate support in order to keep the costs for the loyal fans as low as possible?

Don't wish to be negative but just stating facts, particularly when a friend of mine told me that he will have to "pick and choose [my] games this season due to the cost"

cost will always be an issue as it is with everything.Letting the kids in free is fantastic. Some of us will be better off this season. There is only so much you can do.

Yes I am more than aware that sadly some people cannot afford the extras and that is why I chose the words " if you can spare a little " in no way would we expect people to give more than they can afford . We have fantastic support towards the Trust and it doesn`t matter to us wether people give a penny , a pound or nothing at all but very welcome good wishes ,you are all valued . Thank you .
