Please tell me how 11,300 fans squeezed into Wheldon Road? It's the same with Wakefields Belle Vue capacity that can officially hold 2,000 more than the Shay.

If the Shay had a safety certificate dished out by Wakefield Council, it's capacity would be around 18,000

It's officially around 10,500 due to work needs doing on Skircoat (fix seats, more toilets, fix broken turnstiles) and more Toilets and fix broken turnstiles in the North Stand

To be fair what difference does it make? Would love for it to be an issue but at the moment it's not.

All the best for the clubs that can get anywhere near that.

Correct Norman. 4,100 today was poor for a Fax v Bullies derby.

They get a fantastic atmosphere in that little stadium. Such a shame we've lost so many of the good traditional old grounds, not many left like Cas...

I thought it was a decent crowd as neither team are ripping up trees yet and they brought a lot less than last year.
I hope that the Council keep looking after the stadium and keep the capacity as high as possible surely 12,000 would be good as you never know when a big game may come along one day for either Fax or the Shaymen, keep your options open I say.
