Championship clubbing

One our spies tell us a Championship club is apparently under investigation by the RFL for some financial irregularities. The speculation is that they have allegedly taken money out of one affiliated company in a bid to boost player salaries and increase club revenue, so they can lift the size of their salary cap. Details are sketchy right now, but if our informant is correct, it’s more bad news the game doesn’t need.

Any prizes for guessing who?

Rowley suggested their were immoral goings on at that club so it makes sense.

Unfortunately Mr Hall ,I have heard nothing ,this is the first news I've heard of this,but again it may be folk jumping to conclusions ,it wouldn't be the first time.

Mr Hall, our Chairman Mr Michael Norris has stated it is not Leigh Centurions that the said statement refers to, and I believe Mr Norris 100% ,as he has never misled the Leigh Fans in the past, Charlie knows.

I think there are only 2 clubs who would be anywhere near the salary cap and I know who the clever money will be on.

Didn't your club tell barefaced lies about Penky's "injury" the chairman must have been privvy to the decision to attempt to cover up the real reason for his absence.

Same with Rangi's flu/hip too.

After the song and dance made by the sundeck king about having the means to justify a higher salary cap, this article can only refer to one club.

Homer,I think you will find BOTHER the Penky and Rangi stories were hear say,and who is to say Rangi has not had Flu or a Hip injury, apparently he is now back in training and won't be long before he is ready for selection.
I know our Chairman Mike Norris is not the type of man to deny things that are true,he has never tried to mislead any Fans in the past,and I think his early response to this statement will show we at Leigh have nothing to hide or worry about.Folk keep talking about Leigh in crisis admitted we are not playing our best at the moment, but we can't get any higher in the League, wait till we get a few injuries fit again and start playing well.

I'd be amazed if Rangi hasn't had 'flu at some stage in the past month or so - the rest of the squad seem to have had it, so why shouldn't he?!
