Neil's Notes v Widnes : Mon May 09, 2016 8:13 am
Whilst disappointed with the result could this be the kick start we needed like the Summer Bash defeat last year. All the players were up for this as you could see from 1-17 giving 110%. Now let us take this on into the League starting with Batley next Sunday. With an indifferent start this season we are still joint 3rd all be it actual 5th on points difference. Performances like yesterday gives us great encouragement in our quest for the top 4. Adam Tangata got the Shay Lounge MOM and 3 points with Dane Manning 2nd with 2 points and Ben Heaton was 3rd with 1 point. Ben who started in the 2nd row for only the 2nd time in his career also picked up the sponsors MoM. Gareth Moore still leads on 10 points with Dane 2nd with 8 and Adam now 3rd with 7 points.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass went to Richard Moore who just got the nod from a great team performance. Adam spoke very well when being interviewed in the Shay Lounge and like the rest of the team are looking forward with confidence to producing this kind of performance for the rest of the season because yesterday it looked like we were the Super League team. There was no Club 1873 results with this being a Cup game. The half time draw winning number was 0524 for £202. As already mentioned we return to the league next Sunday with a trip to Batley. The Supporters coach leaves at 1.15pm for a 3.00pm Ko. Adults £8 with juniors £4. There is still room on the coaches to the Summer Bash on Sunday 29th May although the early coach at 10.00 is filling up fast with spaces still on the later 2.15 coach. Cost on both is £12 with juniors £6. Our game against Featherstone kicks off at 5.15pm. Phone me on 07714488080 to book. Neil neilarber43@gmail.com |
