Sad Sad news for Fev and the game. I wonder if the RFL will try and save the iconic club like they did with Bradford. I doubt it. I hope Fev can work their way out of this. Blue & White Unite!

Its not rare, however the problem is if other creditors lose faith they will often jump on the back of someone elses winding up order which can snowball from something quite manageable to having no option to apply for administration to protect the company.
There will be very few creditors at our level, lots of DLs but doubt anyone bar kit supply would allow terms. Most clubs do a HMRC shuffle at some time

Its just that Fev do it every 6 months. I think we will see them really struggle if their poop or bust attempt to make the top 4 this season goes belly up. There seems to be quite a bit of unrest from players over in that direction already which is not going to help their cause.

Greg,
It's every 12 months, once in 2014, once in 2015 and now in 2016, but thanks for the concern.
At this point I could mention that the buckets were out for Fax not too long ago, but I believe that this would be a bit childish of me!
Anyway back to the thread "Fev going bust", on the Fev Forum The Blues Ox (Fax Fan) asks the following question: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Genuine question - where do Fev's money troubles stem from? I mean you get decent crowds, you own your own ground, get all money from bars etc and although you would hazard a guess that the squad is one of the more expensive in the league, Fev really should be one of the more financially viable teams in the league. You have to wonder how teams like Sheffield have managed to put together the squad they used to given the resources they had available to them in comparison. You really have to wonder how teams manage to survive, thats RL teams in general and not just Fev. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The reality is that we are still paying for the Fiasal Debacle (can't remember how to spell his name since I have been trying to erase his memory, but failing). We are just about there now from what I have been told, so I am hopeful that we will see an upturn in Fev going forwards in relation to the money situation, this is because of a lot of what Blues Ox mentions. For me this will be the case even if we finish outside the top 4, even 6th which was Frank1 (Leigh fan) pre-season prediction and is still very likely (I should learn to stop betting against him)
Therefore I don't see Fev going bust, but only being more competative next year than this, regardless of where we finish.
The truth is that RL at our level without a benefactor is virtually unsustainable given the limited funding that comes down from the sky TV deal. And it is the pursuit of funding (especially from a single individual) that gets a lot of clubs into trouble. The latest case being Sheffield who thought they had the money and their benefactor pulls out. To all my Leigh friends I have some inclining that Derek is there for the duration and even if he did pull out everything is in place to cope with it, so Leigh may be and exception to the rule.
For me I don't want to see any RL club go poop or bust, I would like to see all of them flourish, yes John even Sheffield.
I know the Fax people that know me will know that this next statement is genuine, Good luck on Sunday against Bradford i hope you can get the win.
