Over the season the Bulldogs have totally deserved their success. They did the double over us and today when it counted they've done the business, well done! Ultimately we haven't been that far off but at the end of the day we've just not been good enough. Today's game summed our season up. We had every chance to win but if you keep inviting teams back into games they will take advantage. On a different note I would just like to send my sincere commiserations to the icons that are the bullies. At least it means another crawl around North Parade next season Up The Fax.

Quite agree HuddShay - Batley fully deserved their third place finish . An organised , well drilled team and they were the only team to defeat Leigh . Really interesting to see how Bradford react now . A big drop off in funding will hinder them pretty hard . They must have thought / planned for another crack at SL. As for us deserved what we got. Six out of six defeats against top teams sums it up . Good to hear Tyrer signed on for another two years

On radio Leeds they have been talking about Bradford and how they will react and how our league has shown that being full time doesn't always work.
They also stated a few times how Halifax did the right thing last season with our prize money and invested it in reserves , accadamy and the lads at Calderdale college ect and build the infrastructure of the club instead of 'doing a Brafdford' as they said , trying to buy players and it totally not working. Yes, well done Batley and dare I say Fev. Yes I am disappointed about us but the sweetener is the Bulls haven't made it either and they will feel it a lot more than us or other championship teams.

Pete it was London that beat you how about well done to them?After all they did finish runners up,my predictions of 7 th for Fax was nearly right, I told you .Charlie knows.

Yes well done Batley, and really well done to Fev, taking 6 from 6 points in that run in shows a team that really deserves their top 4 position. On us, well we blew enough games to have been comfortable in the top 4 and just proved that we were not quite good enough.
Next season I don't see where Murrell fits in so we need to replace him with someone with nous and a bit of pace, there will be a number of changes and possibly/should be a big shake up.

All this talk about how the extra funding was vital and .... three out of last year's top four didn't make it this year.

Money isn't everything.
