I have to say respect to Mark Astin for a very good interview and his passion for Sheffield Eagles is obvious. Two little points if I may, he says crowds are going away because of Friday night games? There weren't any crowds when they played on any other day. They had an investor who walked away because he couldn't get his own way, it was him who wanted Eagles to go full time. Sounds about like one of our absent share holders. There is a new potential investor £42m who is having second thought, would he like to make us his second thought. Mark says Sheffield Eagles may not exist in a months time, well going against every thing I have dais, I hope they will. Ps, that's four little points.
Ps how many times does Mark say "you know"

To be fair, crowds have halved this year.

Madness, I agree. As was playing at SHU.

Well, he says he has £42m to invest on the EIS and surrounding site, not in Sheffield Eagles. There are genuine money-making opportunities there. The hotel, for instance. There's a desperate shortage of accommodation for disabled folk.

When I was in Ireland, there was a Fijian bloke called Seán óg ó hAilpín on TG4, the Irish language channel. He's a Cork hurler from ten or twenty years ago. He must've said "d'ye know?", in English, a couple of hundred times in this interview in otherwise fluent Irish.
The things we say when our brains work slower than our mouths.
It was an early morning interview after a poor performance from his players, yesterday.
He also had to be mindful of what he was saying.
The posh, rich people, like Prince Charles, keep saying, err, and delaying while they think what to say.
I thought he got the message across very well.As bad as that message turned out to be.
Did his number of 'you know' beat that of Paul March, the outgoing Keighley Cougars coach?
Didn't hear Paul Marches interview, but, no disrespect intended to him I'm quite sure "you know" was the most legible thing he said. As for Prince Charles, being a republican myself, I would suggest his "err" has nothing to do with "posh and rich?" but simply he doesn't know what day it is. But hey, both you and I are digressing off topic.
