Neil's Notes v Widnes : Mon Aug 14, 2017 8:34 am
It was always going to be difficult with having so little ball first half and defending the majority of the time. They only broke us 3 times when it could have been so much more against a Super League side. To our credit we came back in the second half but just trailed off at the end. With London and Featherstone getting a draw it puts us bottom. Both ourselves and Featherstone have difficult away trips next with Featherstone at Widnes and us at Warrington. The supporters coach to Warrington is now full and with the game being televised we would not be able to fill a 2nd coach. If you are going to London on Sunday 10th September please book early to ensure we have sufficient numbers to run the coach. It leaves the Shay at 8.15am. £25 adults, £10 juniors.
In the Shay Lounge Man of the Match Ben Johnston was first with 3 points, 2nd was Ben Heaton with 2 points and 3rd Will Sharp with 1. With just 2 games to go Will now extends his lead to 17 with Shane Grady 2nd on 13 points and Ben Johnston now takes over 3rd with 8 points. In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to number 46, Gillian Clayton and the £20 voucher to number 90, Karl Hallos. The half time draw winning number was 7230 for £230. Details for the Player of the Season awards will be announced shortly Neil neilarber43@gmail.com 07714488080 |
