I'd heard that he had been offered a new deal but that it was lower than what he is on. Shame as he has been great for us over the last few seasons.

I admire the BoD if they are managing the business for the longer term, but given that we made the Qualifiers that must have brought in a bit more than they were expecting.

As my old man used to say it's sometimes better to spend a few bob more than sink the ship for a ha'porth of tar (if that is how you spell it )

By all accounts the decision to return home was nothing to do with money. For me he has been one of the best, if not the best, prop forward in our league for the last 3 seasons and Im not sure how we replace him to be honest although his departure must free up some money. We can't simply go with what we have when you lose a player of that quality. in my opinion we have nobody even half as good as Mitch ready to step in.

Only consolation is at least he's not leaving and going to one of our rivals.

Reserve player Martin Reilly is leaving too for Dewsbury.Quite liked the look of him but DR kills 90% of youngsters progress.

Mitch up there with Shad Royston as one of best overseas players at Fax since we left SL. Unplayable at times in 2015 - Mr. consistent

Yes. Good point and will just add another factor for AT to mull over when he considers his future.
Shouldn't be too long now before news of who's staying and who's going starts to filter through.

I hope Heaton is staying and I hope Muzza is taking note of the flat stomach add, both would be good for the team.
