Sorry I searched for and replied to an existing thread rather than started another...apologies for the confusion and thanks for the replies.

He's only signed for a year so he's obviously trying to get through a yeah without injury and see if he can move up aain

Ironically his best game for us was at London AFTER he'd signed for Donny.

I would have taken him over Kavannagh every day of the week. I can't quite understand us not taking a punt on him.

He's had 2 injury plagued years with us,to risk a third he would have had to show more than he has.Correct call on this occasion IMO.

To be fair to him this year was a bit of a freak one, a broken arm wasn't it? Not like it was a re-occurring injury. I'd have like to have kept him, thought he was much improved, always hits up hard and gave us some extra size in the pack.

Yes I don't actually think he has been ever injury free so I would have taken a punt on him at his age. Kavanagh for me is just a journeyman that kept just making a very poor super league team

Re: Brandon Douglas : Thu Oct 11, 2018 9:20 pm
Kavanagh has played something like 18/20 games this year in Super League. No disrespect to Douglas, but they are not in the same league.

Kavanagh - So called journeyman or not, go through our squad from this year and probably next years and see how many Super League games they've played between them, you'd be surprised. If we can get him, it would be an excellent signing.

Douglas - Injury prone, has potential, but as someone has mentioned, his best game probably for the club was the London one, his last. I am sure if we had desperately wanted to keep Brandon we would have been able to at least match Doncaster's offer, or is it a case of another League One club with loads of cash to splash?

Douglas is always injured. We can't carry players like that. Reminds me of Mark Perret. A very good player "when fit" but when the shoulders/arms start playing up you're knackered.

I can think of a couple more we have like that.
