Restructure

Anyone who doubts SL clubs intentions should read the statement issued jointly by Adam Pearson and Neil Hudgell, Hull and HKR bosses. I don't know how to put it on here but it's on Google. It's attitude towards anyone below SL is appalling and they speak of lower clubs as if they were naughty children. Any change put forward by SL clubs is designed to be for the benefit of the SL clubs and no one else, as in DR. For a much more reasonable formula read Batley chairman Kevin Nicholas' proposal, again I don't know how to put it on but it is much fairer and in my view spot on. Up The Fax!

Yep, been saying it for a long time.

The clubs come together this Friday for an EGM to vote.

The tag "Super League" obviously gives the top tier clubs some kind of elitism of which the rest of RL is not worthy. Now if it was purely "Rugby League Division 1" and "Rugby League Division 2" there may be some kind of camaraderie between all the clubs.

But to top it all, there's a big possibility SKY will slash the TV money in 2021 leaving even the SL clubs in the lurch. SKY could offer SL a million quid a year and there's nothing SL could do about it 'cos nobody else is interested in broadcasting "the greatest game in the world".

The Dewsbury Chairmans comments in the League Express are worth equally scathing as well

If as Fuzzy Duck remarks and SKY drop the money, how many S L clubs would be insolvent?, if so would the RFL have the balls to relegate the ones that were, where then would that leave the state of R L ? would Championship clubs who have to survive on their own funding be promoted ?

Bottom line it all comes down to money and power rather than structure.

After having admitted that beyond the current Sky deal there is uncertainty regarding funding they fail to mention who will pick up the tab.

Financially the SL clubs propose £1 million each taken from both the RFL and the Champ and Champ 1 clubs allowance regardless of the amount of any new deal agreed beyond 2021 and regardless of the impact this will have on these parties.

Everyone is equal but some are more equal than others, so shut up all you 'little clubs' and let us SL pigs keep our noses in the troughs!!

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but a one up one down would see Widnes go down (not too many tears shed across the game for that) and Toronto go up (the ever expanding sport of RL)

I know there are no dates set, but given the complete state the RFL is in at the moment, I could see this happening

Seriously!

IF. TWP did go up would S L bow to the playing matches in bulk home and away. 'Knobby' has already complained about the fatigue of travelling week in week out.
BOO HOO for them . Let them feel the pain like everyone else with travelling .

That's it. If we 'championship clubs' vote for this it would be like turkeys voting for Christmas in my opinion.
