Surprised Heaton has dropped down a division, he's definitely champ quality.

Strange how Heaton couldn't pick up a Championship deal. Unless Hunslet are throwing money around like Newcastle....

Main criticism of Heaton has to be his lack of ability to pass the ball to his winger. I felt he looked more at home on the wing and also thought the Barber/Heaton (Centre/Wing) partnership worked rather well towards the end of last year and both fairly solid defensively, so surprised we didn't give this a try the season just gone...

No he isn't. Gave 100% but he couldn't pass, had no pace and was weak in defence. Nowhere near as good as the likes of Sharpy, Salty, Tyrer, Ed or Woody. Heaton being in the opposition line up wouldn't worry me one bit.

To be fair he always gave what he had for the cause, it took forever for RM to realise that he couldn't pass to his right which worries me for picking future backs . . He always did well against bigger players Ie the Sheffield Centre Menzie it's the players with a step he struggled with. Good luck to the lad . Don't ask him to do after dinner speeches but he is an honest player who earns his money .
