Chris_Smith = quotes

"The current BOD are ineffective and out of their depth bringing very little to the club other than disarray and zero commercial funds..."

Tue Apr 23, 2019 3:54 pm
"Time for people who can help to step up then?? Instead of squabbling and not picking.... This season isnt gone yet but something needs doing now and you guys on the old Exec Committee really need to stand up and be counted and try rally around and do something positive.... This BOD are out of their depth, absolutely and I've said it for a long time... commercially they've crippled the club... So time for change."

Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:14 pm
"No assertion at all... As a potential sponsor and knowing several sponsors, I get tokd certain things. Ultimately the commercial side is way off where it needs to be and very little being done to eradicate this,"

And I am the one with issues? need we go on?

You andChris_Smith shout from from the rooftops how large your cohonies are, but seems more like peas.

I know a number of people who use this forum think they know me and that I was in some way connected to a certain group involved with the club.

Can I say that you are entirely wrong. I have never been anything other than a local player of the game (not very well) and a fan who now sits at most games as I’m too old to stand. On a financial note I struggle to afford the cost of entry now that I only work a few shifts each week and could never afford investing, although I did once buy a brick at Thrum Hall.

I have strong views, all of them my own, from watching the club for over fifty years. Whilst the Club is not broke it remains poorly run and I will call it as I see it.

Yes we do.... How is this me boasting or bragging?? Think you need to reread them.... I'd happily help and have done before but I sadly dont have the financial clout to make much difference.

You did seem to know a lot about when "your boys" tried to take over though, infact I believe you posted some stuff that were talked about in confidence which might be why people put two and two together.........

Chris_Smith First you tell us you are /were a potential sponsor, quote " As a potential sponsor and knowing several sponsors" (sic), and privvy to certain conversations, now you claim 'not a pot to &!$$ in'.
Maybe the commercial side is way off kilter, but unless you can alter it physically, profitably, or even do better by offering to use your superior experience, the BoD would welcome you. do like the rest of us, make comments by all means, but generalise them and not 'I know something you don't know', but cannot back it up. Reread your own posts.

G F B thanks for your input.
Dbvada I don't have a grudge to hold, but you did make certain points that led people to make assumptions of your involvement and connectivity to 'a certain group'.
As for a fan who attends matches that is one up on me, due to my life choice I am not in a position to attend live games. Some on here have argued that as I don't attend matches, I should not have an opinion or voice. unless the administrator deems otherwise, I will also offer my thoughts however feeble they might seem to other people.

Theres a big difference between not a pot to mickey in and the financial clout needed to give the club the boost it needs... Not sure what your problem is?? I don't have that sort of money, wish I did... a sponsor injects monies from a couple of hundred quid to thousands and I claim nothing, I never post anything that hasnt been told to me or I've seen for myself. Whether you believe me or not is of no consequence to me at all... I couldn't care less, as a forum everyone I believe as a right to say within reason what they want.

To get the club back on track I'd say it needs a £200-300k cash injection to get it competitive or next season will be very tight on a much reduced budget....

I do find you quite offensive with your comments but happy to answer your vitriol as you try twist things to suit your own ends...
