Makes me laugh all this twaddle.

1. We are not a feeder club for anyone. Players move on regardless, for a better deal.
2. Any decision made by the board is made purely for the benefit of Halifax RLFC first and foremost.
3. If we DR with anyone it will be on our terms and to the benefit of Halifax RLFC.
4. Why wouldn't we want to have better players at our disposal even if they are DR?
5. Why do people continually have to put the club down, lets be positive?
6. If you can do any better bring your money, your expertise, your business plan and your free time.

Back on topic - Anyone heard anything further regarding Frawley heading our way?

New signing being announced tomorrow morning -

Won't be Frawley as the club has pulled out of any deal for him.

Yes should be good for the club, bags of experience and will bring a lot to the club.
Welcome aboard Keal and well done the Fax for getting it over the line.

Reported that Simon Grix spoke to him but didn't pursue it any further. Also reported that Simon won't be going wild with the club's money and may wait till just before the season begins to sign anyone else.

If it is a half back that we are after like seems to be a lot of the rumours then leaving it so late could be a bad idea but to be honest there are not that many good half backs available and no point in bringing someone in for the sake of it who is no better than what we had last season. Can't blame Frawley for not wanting to drop down to the championship and Sammut going to Leigh rules out a couple of potential targets which probably only leaves Brierley as the only recognisable one that is still available. Playing alongside an organising half back would probably work well for him rather than expecting him to be able to take a team around the park.

Carlisle like a lot of players we have signed will do a job for us it will just be collectivly if that will be enough this season. To me it seems we need a bit of 98 about us in that we will be wrote off before the season starts and realistically anywhere above 8th would not be a bad season considering.

Trust me, I watched Frawley at the Bulldogs the season before last and granted, they were a team in transition in 2018 but he was pretty pedestrian. If the Giants are wanting rid after a season then he might be a championship standard player anyway. I am pretty happy with our options at half- back. I think we lack another strike centre and will be interesting to see who plays there; Barber? WBH? I think your doing a disservice to Carlisle and with Moore, I don't think there are many better hooking duo's. He's an upgrade on BK and for all his leadership and defense, he lacked the quick distribution and snyping around the ruck. Old adage that games aren't played on paper but I believe we are stronger than last year. Grix needs a quick start. He won 2 of 11 at the back end of last year and we regressed significantly.
