The silence is truly deafening. Not even a mention of the game even if the courier. However, who wants to cover than shower. Don't know many coaches who keep their job with 1 win in 11 matches. Today was a new, abject low. How can he still be coach for next season? Comedic appointment in the first place.

It’s getting harder and harder to keep the interest up - outstandingly poor results and expected to have blind faith in the future being bright. So much potential a few years ago, now?

Exactly right; There is faith alone. Faith being - Reasoning without evidence. Therefore, is next year going to be anything different next year? Evidence says no. When Grix took over, we were more than in contention for the playoffs but we have gone backwards, no doubt. He hasn't been able to galvanise the team consistently. There is more than enough talent and experience in that team to be in the 5 but not so much as a whimper. I said when Grix was appointed that he needed an experienced assistant at the very least. I don't doubt his acumen or his commitment but there are reasons why prospective coaches spend time learning as assistants. I really hope that he can turn it around but the pessimist in me says that we will struggle to attract a calibre of player with clubs around us that are arguably more attractive right now (Leigh, York, Widnes, Bulls, whoever is relegated from SL, even Sheffield) (not including DR merchants at Fev). It depends how long we are willing to accept the status quo. Not since the last season in SL have we been on a run of defeats like this. Granted, the team we have is ending a cycle but we are in situation now where we are having to overhaul probably more vigorously given this year's calamity.

I forecast a win on Sept 1st to end your losing run.

Ive seen a few bits and bats about the Q & A on social media but nothing really reported. Ive seen a few mentions about our Chairman, but who even is our Chairman now, do we have one? I heard rumours of more jobs for the boys director appointments but again nothing in the press so could just be rumours.

I were one of the few that thought Grix would make a good coach but from the things he has said and the actions he has taken I am not a lot less sure although I still think he should get mid way in to next season before it would be fair to make judgement. A lot of people keep mentioning a team coming to the end of its cycle and I am in total agreement but that is where the blame lands square at the feet of Richard Marshall, its been clear for a couple of seasons that some players should have been moved along but we are now at the point where it has to be done at once rather than a gradual affair. Four years on to be left with the nucleus of Karl Harrisons team after many signings speaks volumes so that is why I think Grix should be given a chance next season but Im not holding my breath for anything much better at the moment. Worth mentioning as well that Swinton were once again a joy to watch and play the type of rugby I would love us to play.

One thing I heard come out of the Q & A meeting was that communication was to be improved and prioritised. Other than that I haven't heard owt!

GFB your saying the players should have been changed, moved on, whatever, have you thought that whoever was in charge of recruitment (we all know your love of RM) did not feel there were better players in the market place than at Fax,? Or would you change for change sake?
Maybe players had been approached and for what ever reason turned us down , unless you are in the know(?) and can expand on the situation, the BoD will keep their own council as they always have done.
Take your pick : secret squirrel society or mushroom management.
