Probably the less said the better. A woeful performance for 60 minutes and then showed a little bit of heart for the last 20. Players dropped that are leaving to give others a chance had very little impact on the performance.

Did we learn anything we didn't already know? McGrath tried hard and is a decent option on the wing but quality wise Robinson and Salty should be on the wings next season if Broughton is not fit. We already know that Salty is not the answer to our centre problem. We also know JWH is not the answer at half back but its really hard to see where he fits in to the team as he struggles to string 2 or 3 good performances together in what ever position he plays.

Forwards wise bringing Hirst in only showed how poor our pack has been this season and his performance made it look like 1 or 2 of our forwards have really taken the club for a ride this season. He looked a cut above most of them and the yards that Moore made off the back of his runs was really good. Even after that one game we should be making moves to get him signed up for next year.

Its funny but the player wish list for next season is still pretty similar to next season. I reckon we need a FB, Centre, Scrum Half, a hooker, 2 Props, and a second row. Out of those it looks like only the FB and hooker have been filled so far. Grix needs to make some very shrewd signings.

i didnt go yesterday and im over the moon with my decision.

will be very interesting to see what moves are made for next season now.

have to agree with the above (although personally i'd prefer to add a winger on their as well and if thats broughton, thats fine with me).

FB - would assume Grix will be retained, not too bothered if he is, not too bothered if he isnt.
Hooker - keeps being touted that this will be from newcastle (is that Keal Carlisle?)

as for the rest i have ZERO clue who we'd be looking at. I'd be happy with Hirst if he plays anything like he did when at batley, it would be an excellent signing. Kav, Fairbank & Hirst + another signing (Fleming seems to have lost interest this season which is annoying for me as i really enjoyed his aggression last year).

would it be possible that we'll look at Sammut again? would he drop down/would wigan want to retain?

Couldn’t make it yesterday but good to hear Keagan made an impact, as I said previously what he has got is size and very hard to bring him down and a quick play the ball off his rumbling forward is on the cards.

Well, after 60 minutes I was ready to walk onto 3 Pig's. I stayed until the bitter end and we did liven up a bit but playing for 20 minutes a game has been the story of our season and it's just not good enough. Time for wholesale changes I think and a new start next year. Up The Fax! The Grove shuddersfield. Hawkshead Windermere Pale Ale 3.5% Mmm!

Another dismal disheartening display Mathew Shaws report in the L/Exp sums it up perfectly.

They're his strengths summed up, creating space for others by doing so. He got grief at Fev because most supporters thought that he should have been making blockbusting runs and breaking tackles because of his size not noticing what he actually did.

When he was teamed up with Alex they were a real handful and complemented one another as much as any in the division, AW was the more mobile and because of that probably got more of the plaudits and his chance which he has taken with both hands and good on him for doing so.
