No doubt we will do what we can in support as things develop and become clearer.

Hi everyone, not posted for a very long time but in these troubled times I think it's time for the "old guard" to get typing again with a few ideas to help the club through this crisis.

My own ideas (may have been mentioned on other forums but haven't been reading so apologies if repeating):

1). Simply extend the season by how many months we're delayed. So we're looking at maybe 3 months delay, so GF end of December. Would be great to have November/December matches again under the floodlights, just like the good old days!
2). Now's the time to take the opportunity to shift back the season anyway. Starting in freezing February is daft. Start beginning of April, finish end of November, so season 2021 should fit seamlessly in following this season's delay.
3). To assist current cashflow, start selling 2021 season tickets now. Shouldn't lose out financially in the long run, as we're just plugging a gap.

Come on, let's have your own views. Long live HRLFC :D

Yes, it would help current cashflow but its robbing Peter to pay Paul. What will cover next seasons shortfall when that seasons season ticket money has been spent?

It's just "plugging the gap", Bubba. The next 2 close seasons will be shorter than usual so eventually will catch up, in other words these next 3 seasons "should" see maintained income, but effectively comprising a couple of shorter close seasons, if you get my drift.

At the moment we don’t know how long it will be before the virus is under control which will obviously dictate when large gatherings at sports events will be allowed again.
The initial prohibitive steps by the government may well be extended and is completely beyond the clubs control.
All if’s after that.
If they are extended this season may well be scrapped depending on the length of the ban.
If that happens and the club survives, this seasons unused season tickets will have to be honoured one way or another such as being refunded or carried over so there will be little income from that source.
Financially I’m sure the club and stakeholders will do what they can and it would appear the newly formed action plan team will be giving a lot of thought to the whole situation including funding initiatives and driving it and we should be hearing from them soon.

One way of supporting our club would be purchasing the six game ticket offer. Although we haven't got season tickets this time, we haven't even been to a game yet, we will be doing this to hopefully back the club through these strange and difficult times. After all there are more important things in life than DR and merged reserve teams aren't there? Up The Fax!

I wonder if any of the players and staff qualify for the 80% wage supplement?
Keenly looking to hear what comes out of the club next.
At least we can trust what they say as being truthful and honest which is one of the more important things, pandemic or otherwise.

Looks as though they should. Also mentions 'fax are the only club to have already announced wage reductions.
