toulouse : Wed Apr 21, 2021 2:01 pm
i must be mad but i am going for a fax win 24-22 i dont think we can win this unless we score quite a lot of points and defend like our lives depend on it having watched toulouse in preseason against catalans and in there first game v york they look big and fast and skilfull and will take some beating we after be more aggresive in defence and find a way to attack like we did in the first 20 minutes against bradford but for 80 minutes to have a chance

Fax will be smarting from the Bulls loss and will be really focussed and up for it and I also expect a few changes this week to the team, some forced, some by choice so those coming in will have extra incentive to do well.
Should be a few points scored in this one, Fax can do it but they will be have to be at their best.

Toulouse should win this easy on our showings so far this season.

Unfortunately I agree and if that's the case it will be another poor, slow start to a season. We should be doing much better with the players we have. Knowing Fax though we will probably get the two points from this game. :thumb:

It would help if the ref/touchjudge don't give Toulouse non existent tries.

it will be interesting to see who plays fullback on sunday if grix and woodburn-hall are out injured possibly rawsthorne or saltonstall does anybody no if there as been any further action taken against salty for the trip in the bradford game also what are peoples thoughts on our halfbacks do we need a third halfback to put pressure on the current 2 and may be provide a bit more experience and organisation i dont see woodburn-hall as a halfback more a fullback

Grix has been much better than I expected this year so will be disappointing if he's out. As an alternative would go with Saltonstall, strong defensively and running ball out from the back. While I think its probably just a confidence thing with Rawsthorne as he's proved himself a good player in the past, he's been a bit underwhelming so far. Would definitely not want a player lacking in confidence playing fullback against Toulouse.

I believe the club have another half back in mind for that reason. Cuirrent club reluctant to release him on anything other than a loan but has little chance of playing in their first team.
