Ben Tibbs is our player but still begs the question about why have him on the bench. The only thing I can think of was that the coach also saw this as an easy win and a chance to give Tibbs some game time when we were far enough in front. Other than that it looks an awful decision especially with his continued rotation going on. Standouts for me this year have been Spring and Bourough the rest have really not impressed me at all.

I thought Larroyer's commentary on the Toulouse game was brilliant! :x

Part Quote: "From TS. "Behind the scenes at the club does anybody know how the board are judging the situation." End.

I still believe they think we have assembled a decent squad that just needs someone with some composure on the field to get us going.

So I'll go with the club stepping up the search for another half back who could provide some direction and get us moving round the pitch, if they do go down that route it will likely be a loan move from an SL club.
One way or another if things don't improve soon then it will really be decision time.

The new board have done well in revamping and improving troublesome areas of business. The one area where they stuck with the old failure was on the playing side management . It's now hurting them and will continue to hurt the club until they make the change required.

I agree that we appear to have a Board that has addressed some key issues, and appear to have managed to move us through the worst of the pandemic (although I have no idea what the financial position is now).

However in recent years our recruitment has been very mixed and we appear to have appointed an inexperienced coach who looks to be out of his depth and not developing. As I believe one director focuses on "on field" matters, it would be good to hear from him about the season start, as the only time we do has been when he is trumpeting the mixed recruitment.

On form this weekend looks like another very tough ask.

I agree i think the board have done a good job off the field in numerous areas. They are now advertising for someone to join the commercial team this is an important role considering the big drop in sky money thats coming we have to find ways of generating more income our selves which is easier said then done but we cant rely on the sky money any more so its good to see the club making these decision. Also it shows even thou we dont have much money we must have a bit left in the pot when needed. And i think like you until we change the coach that decision will continue to hurt the club

I think the players have a role to play in trying to resolve this. Mentioned by someone in an earlier post but we have lost some senior players who would probably have got the dressing room together with a players meeting. This has been done in the past and worked. It needs some honesty in the dressing room to own up to the issues that are causing us problems. It also doesn't help having an inexperienced coach who hasn't been in this position before and probably doesn't know exactly what to do for the best. I'm not sure which 'old heads' he can turn to for advice.

SG has made some poor selection decisions IMHO and he also doesn't seem to be able to motivate the dressing room as much as he should be doing. I'm not sure if he has lost the dressing room but I think the coach and the players need to sit sown and have an open, honest and frank discussion about what they need to do to get back to some form. The squad isn't as bad as the recent results have been.

The squad looks, by a considerable distance, the best we have had at Fax for a few years. :|
