Looked a tired performance but again defence superb. Certainly missed the impact of Springer and Bourough but a week off will do us a load of good. Haven will stay up if they can produce that performace against some of the weaker teams in the division. I think they too defended really well and have a few players who caused us a lot of trouble.

It was one of those games you were glad to come through and win. Looking back, yes ‘haven only only scored 2 penalties but they came very close on many occasions. We defended well, especially on the line but at any moment ‘haven could have scored. A lot of coughed up ball and unforced errors by us.
Yet we looked strong, I thought there was some confusion in direction when we where near their line it it’s now 6 wins in a row and we should celebrate that. When was the last time we won 6 in a row? A break now that will do us good and 4th in the league. Up the Panthers!

It was hard work watching that today, very disjointed especially at half back. For bulk of the game appeared to be a lack of intensity, when we did up the speed of play made easy metres but weren't able to maintain this for any length of time. Calcott again ran very strongly, and for me Saltonstall was again mom for the incredible amount of work he did. I feel a few players are carrying knocks which might explain some of the substitutions - as one of these is Brandon really cannot understand Davies not getting more game time as I felt he was playing well..

That was a dire display with the highlight being the sprinkler system going off! The completion rate won't make for healthy viewing that's for sure. It's obvious though some lads are playing with injuries and the two week break is nicely timed. On the plus side the defence was fantastic again and we got the two points. :D Sheffield next and hopefully a refreshed squad will be back and raring to go. Up The Fax!

Well that was terrible to watch the positives we won and to keep anyone try less is a very good effort in defence. The concern for me going forward is our 1.6.7 woodburn hall as all the talent you could want at this level for a fullback but he doesn't impose himself enough on games for me if we are to have any chance when we get to the playoffs he needs to do this more. Liam harris as shown glimpse of what he can do like at the backend of both the batley and widnes games but goes missing for to long in-between he also needs to impose himself more on games and is kicking game is not good enough. Scott grix looked the answer to these problems a few games back is kicking game was good and is pass selection was good too but for me these last few games he as been poor too. Like harris kicking constantly down the fullbacks throat and pass selection dropping players back on the inside or passing short instead of going out the back we blew tries yesterday and made poor pass selection time and time again. I think we could do with bringing in another halfback we did this with russell from huddersfield and i was looking foward to seeing how he went but i don't think we will be seeing him again anytime soon. And most sides are struggling to put sides out at the moment so there wont be many players available i just hope simon is looking.
