Know coaches always say we shouldn't pay too much attention to squad numbers but does seem a bit odd that not one of some very strong signings is included in starting 13. Not sure if this just means he's saying I know what these players can do so it's up to new players to prove themselves, but I'd be surprised/disappointed if at least 2 or 3 of these don't force themselves in by first league game.

Its probably more to do with rewarding some of the players from last season but at the end of the day a shirt number means very little its more the effort that counts.
