What a terible draw, now to tell Town fans that theres a good chance that this will be played on the Friday night unless it gets a TV spot.

I honestly wonder if there is any merit in the club switching this tie to France? We won't make any money from the tie at home with a crowd of maybe 1500 or so you would think and although there is the expense of the travel to France a lot of it might be covered by the expenses that Catalans would pay so we might make more on a decent gate.

Agree with all the above sentiments, we'll lose, get battered, break even if we're lucky - oh and the week after we've got the Bulls away. Seriously if there was a way to concede the tie I hope they would!

Just seen someone on FB mention about the Bulls week after, makes it even worse. The lads will be physically beaten up after this tie and its unusual for a Championship team to win the week after a tie like this.

Worst possible draw we could have had. The club will have to work hard to get people into the ground, it's a tough sell when it's not included in the season ticket and there's very little to build around the tie. We've never even played Catalans before to my knowledge!

Agree with everyone. Dragons will bring no supporters at all and take half the gate money. The club in general bring nothing to rugby league. No away support cost other clubs money to go to France. Anyway I hope it is on the Friday as that will give the team a weeks break before the Bradford game but who ever we were drawn against we always had the Bulls game the following week.

Do you think the club will keep the prices at £15, £10 ect or r ramp it up because we are playing a SL team. Hope they keep the prices low as that may attract more people in.

We did - in the end of season play-offs - they always have a massive side and Marshall reckoned some of the players were still recovering from the battering they received well into the next season.

I don't think he got sent off for it. He should have, and it might have made a difference as we ran them close (ish). But I stand to be corrected!

The Challenge Cup used to be a real money spinner, with good crowds and generous sponsorship prize money, even for the earlier rounds, especially when Silk Cut were the sponsors who listed the exact amounts for each round. I've no idea what Betfred pay, I can't imagine it's much from a backstreet tin pot outfit. And the fans are no longer bothered. I remember watching Cas v Hull last season on the telly and I've never seen the Cas Shed so empty.

Hopefully Cats will take us lightly and leave some of their bigger guys at home, in particular Bousquet. He's a monster!
