Motto of the week -

It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

Best team to visit Craven Park this season apart from Sheffield.

Seriously i was very impressed by Cas last night and take my hat off to TM's recruitment and coaching style. On the night there was not a lot between the two sides and the only difference perhaps was Rovers took their chances when they came. Both teams goal line defence was outstanding and in Rangi, Shifty and Westerman you have three top class players in key positions.

I think you're nailed on for the play-offs and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Rangi just keeps getting better, i wasn't so sure about his signing at the start of the season (mainly because nobody had ever heard of him) but now i can't wait to see him progress even further

At first I thought he was going to open us up and cause problems, but his switch passes became easy to read after so long.

DANNY LOCKWOOD - LEAGUE WEEKLY (18-5-09)

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

Obviously my first comment was very much tongue in cheek, I agree with you, they looked and played like a decent side. The two half backs kept them ticking over and in the second half they looked very good with the ball in hand.

They, like most teams have players missing, and at full strength they won't fear anyone in the league.

We've got to take a lot out of last night though because of our defence, its been dodgy for a few matches but really stepped up last night. Looking good for next week if we get a few of the lads back :)

Sounds like the defence was reasonably good which makes it 2 weeks in a row.

For most of this season I've been less than impressed with our defence and if you look at our points against column you'll understand why!

Hopefully the absolutely shocking defensive performance against 'fax prompted the players and coaching staff to take a long hard look at themselves and take steps to do somert about it!
